Pile Up! is a premium strategy title for PC from developer Remoob. It is a city-building game that tasks players with creating vertical cities on top of islands. There's a limited amount of space to work with, so they will need to think about how best to utilize structures.

Much like Townscraper, Pile Up! features a tropical theme to it, with the majority of the game taking place in water. Players will unlock various building structures as they progress, allowing for more unique builds and combinations, with three game modes to choose from that range from relaxing to creative.

Build up

City builders offer different types of gameplay depending on what you're after. Some aim for realism and deep systems to let you immerse yourself in the experience, while others serve up relaxing environments for you to step in, unwind, and just have a nice time. Pile Up! is a charming title that belongs to the latter category that's set in a quaint little island escape.

As its name suggests, this is a strategy game that has you create a bustling city by stacking buildings on top of one another. It is an important detail since all three islands available have limited land areas to work with. There are over 50 buildings to unlock across seven types to combine, resulting in all kinds of new structures. 

In addition, there are more than 100 memoirs to uncover and read in your handbook. Learn new combinations from them to help you build even more unique city structures. Just be aware that the game is still in early access before you dive in. Hence, expect more changes and additions, as well as bug fixes to come in future updates.

A fun and relaxing time

If you like your city-building games to be on the more relaxing side, then Pile Up! is a title that is worth checking out. It offers simple and relaxing gameplay while retaining some level of complexity to keep you engaged and interested. Hopefully, the full game releases soon and bring more content for players to experience. Suffice it to say, it's highly recommended.
